This concerns U.S. copyrightability, not a universal answer about infringement, trademarks, contracts, or other jurisdictions. A particular asset needs its own assessment.
What the guidance distinguishes
The U.S. Copyright Office says AI-assisted work can qualify for copyright when a human determines sufficient expressive elements. Human expression, creative selection and arrangement, and modifications can matter. Merely supplying prompts is not sufficient by itself.
A provider may permit commercial use under its terms without creating the exclusivity a buyer expects from copyright. Those are different legal questions, and removing a watermark does not answer either of them.
Make human authorship part of the process
For an important business asset, preserve the original brief, human-authored components, meaningful edits, and design decisions. This is useful project practice and can support a later rights review, without determining the legal outcome.
- Identify the human-created expression and substantive revisions.
- Retain applicable licenses and source permissions.
- Obtain qualified advice before relying on exclusivity for a high-value asset.
A PRACTICAL THADDEUS WORKFLOW
Create with a record of your contribution.
Artifact Builder and creative workflows support revisions and portable exports. Use them to carry your expertise, written material, and editorial decisions into the result, then keep those decisions with the project.
Try this assignment
Turn our human-written guide into a presentation. Preserve the approved wording where required, record substantive editorial changes, list licensed assets, and identify rights questions. Export an eligible version without added Thaddeus branding.
No added watermark does not guarantee exclusive copyright, infringement clearance, or anonymity. Copyright depends on the particular human contribution and applicable law.
